Top 5 Flat Espadrilles

1 Soludos

When I go on holiday I live in espadrilles, they're light, comfortable and breathable.  They are my holiday shoe of choice and every year I collect another few pairs.  I discovered Soludos last year after a collaboration with Selfridges and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to fill my whole Top 5 with Soludos espadrilles.  They have so many quirky designs with slogans and cute characters but they also have very wearable styles like these stripe espadrilles which are perfect for teaming with denim.

2 Office

If you're looking for those Chanel vibes at a fraction of the price then Office have you sorted with these leather 2-tone espadrilles.  I wouldn't advise leather espadrilles in a super hot country because trust me, your feet will sweat and they may even rub, so keep these for evenings when it's cooler or for Summer in the UK where it doesn't get quite so hot.  Style these with denim, or chinos and add a blazer for a really chic look.

3 ASOS

Every Spring/Summer season ASOS always have a great range of espadrilles, they even sell them in sets of 2 and have wide fit options available.  Obviously these are high street espadrilles with a high street price, so they'll last you one season and that's about it.  But for a few quid they really aren't bad if it's a light pair of holiday shoes that you need just to knock around in.  I've chosen these slightly pearlescent pale pink espadrilles for my number 3 slot.  This colour will look amazing with a tan and paired with some mid to light wash denim and white t-shirt, you've got a perfect laid back holiday look.

4 Miss KG by Kurt Geiger

If you're after a classic style then black is always a good place to start.  These Miss KG espadrilles are a slightly different style to the rest in that they fall more under the sandal category than the shoe category but they nonetheless still a flat espadrille and will add a touch of Summer to your looks.

Loewe suede espadrilles

5 Loewe

When it comes to espadrilles I always tend to go for the canvas styles because I wear them on the beach and sometimes they can get wet.  But many brands have begun elevating their espadrille designs making them wearable for Summer city life.  The most-wanted espadrilles of the season being these from Loewe.  These are not a beach shoe, made from suede and being at the higher end of the price scale these espadrilles are the perfect way to add 'Summer' to your daily outfits.
