Ra Ra Skirt x Sweatshirt

Over the last few months I have developed a rather dangerous obsession with all things Isabel Marant.  It’s always been a brand which I have been drawn to and a brand that a lot of high street stores like to well ‘rip-off’ for want of a better term.  Now I may have waved farewell to the handbag dupes you knew me so well for (but for those of you that want a good dupe, I always say head to Jessica Buurman) but I still love a high-end looking high street piece.  If you follow me on Snapchat then you’ll have seen that I hit a few sample sales (I always find the dates here on Anna’s blog) last week and on Friday it was the turn of Isabel Marant.  I arrived super early and managed to secure my place 3rd in the queue, it’s safe to say I was pretty darn chuffed with myself.  The doors opened and we all rather calmly walked in, this was a totally different story from the previous day when I hit the Browns sample sale and as I entered there was a 70 year old woman running around in her bra and pants screaming…I can only assume she bagged a pair of the Celine heels which I sadly missed out on, therefore, nakedness and screaming totally justified.  Anywho the Isabel Marant sale was very calm, polite and I freakin triumphed with a few great bargains.  I went with a few things on my ‘hit list’:
Ra Ra skirt

Boots
Sandals
Cropped Jacket
Jeans
Silk Shirt
Shoes were number one on my list as they tend to be the best buys and they go very quickly.  Luckily for me I’m a size 40/41 which is sample size for models so they always have 40’s & 41’s (and normally 37’s which are the normal samples).  They were letting 20 people in at a time and the location was pretty spacious so this was a very civilised affair and I felt like I was just having a leisurely shop without the crazy pushing and shoving of the Browns sale.  I waltzed straight over to the shoes and within 2 minutes I had swept the table clear of all 40’s and 41’s, I stashed them under a table in the corner where I constantly kept a beady eye and then worked the rails of clothing.  As with all sample sales I picked up way too much but this is when I take myself off to my little corner and figure out what is being kept and what’s going back on the rail.  I came away with a gorgeous pair of khaki ankle boots (at £400 off) a green Etoile ‘Ra Ra’ skirt (for £20!), a pair of flat studded sandals which in fact are the flat version to my new ‘Jaeryn’ sandals that I have on in this outfit and last but not least a khaki sweatshirt which I didn’t need at all but thought I just looked pretty ‘cool’ in.  As with all sample sales there is an element of disappointment and there were some things I didn’t manage to get as they simply didn’t have any in the sale but all in all I think I did pretty well.

Forever unsatisfied that I haven’t got enough clothes I then hit Oxford Street and picked up a few extra bits.  This rust colour ‘Ra Ra’ skirt (£29.99) grabbed my eye immediately and with Marant on the brain my shopping radar instantly identified this as a great look-a-like (FYI it also comes in Navy).  To keep the look in with my love of a neutral colour palette I teamed the skirt with this blush coloured sweatshirt which you may recognise from that epic Snapchat haul a couple of weeks ago.  Teaming feminine pieces with casual basics creates a look which say’s ‘I care…but not that much’ and that sums me up to a tee.
