H&M Conscious Collection

News surfaced yesterday that Vanessa Paradis is the latest face of H&M.  She will make her debut for the ‘Conscious Collection’ which will hit stores and online at the end of March, including menswear and childrenswear.  The collection itself has some lovely pieces, but I’d say not half as good as last years Conscious Collection.  The entire collection is made from more sustainable materials such as organic cotton, recycled polyester and Tencel.  Running alongside the new campaign with be the launch of a Conscious garment collecting action at H&M.  You simply take any of your old, unwanted clothes to selected H&M stores and in return for each bag you will receive a H&M voucher!  The maximum is 2 bags per customer per day but c’mon, that’s still pretty decent!  It’s the first store to actively encourage garment return on this scale in a bid to prevent clothing going to landfill.
