Budget See-Through Bags

Now it's cool to see what's in your bag!

I've said it before, I'll say it again, there's nothing wrong with experimenting with trends every season.  Not all trends will be everyone's cup of tea but admittedly I've been sucked into the 'see-through bag' trend.  The return of vinyl hit the fashion scene in a big way a few season's back, with lots of PVC and wet-look clothing, accessories and footwear.  But this season the vinyl see-through bag has become the "must-have" item of fashion lovers worldwide.  I'm not even remotely ashamed to say that I love this trend, everything has been a trend at some point even 'classics' are a trend, but what I love most about this one in particular is that it's FUN!  It takes me back to the days when I was younger and my grandparents would take me out to Woolworths (throwback!) to buy me a handbag or a make up set (always made of plastic and never contained any real make-up).  I used to call it my 'bag-of-business', I had it with me wherever I went, and it was completely see through...so everyone could see exactly what my 'business' was.  I guess this trend holds some nostalgia for me but I also think that it is a bit of fun to play around with and who can complain about a waterproof, stain proof bag right?

A nifty handheld bag with a matching tan mock-croc pouch inside to conceal those personal belongings...or maybe just a safe haven for your emergency Snickers 😉

2. TOPSHOP

Vinyl doesn't always have to be clear, there are plenty of coloured options for those of you who like to inject some colour into your looks or for something a little more chic, this black vinyl bucket bag fits in with the trend whilst also being a practical hands free bag.

3. SHEIN

Combine two trends in one with this tortoiseshell handle bag.  Again this one also comes with a small removable pouch inside for you to store your valuables and keep them out of sight.

4. ZARA

I love the contrast of the vinyl on this bucket bag with the natural canvas liner and tan straps.  It's very much a bag that sits in with my own style and colour palette and the quirky acetate handles give it a little sum'n sum'n.

5. EBAY

Yes granted these are very much a Chanel rip off but you know what, for a festival or something they would be pretty ideal ( can be worn crossbody) and they're just a bit of fun!
