Winter Weekend Style

Weekends are never classed as ‘time off’ for me but they are a hell of a lot more flexible.  I know I won’t have any brand meetings or press events/appointments so there is an element of chill about them.  I’m much the same as everyone else, some weekends are spent catching up on Netflix and so my attire rarely involves anything else than my sweats, and others we venture out around London for a nice walk and find somewhere cute for a spot of lunch.  Every season in London brings something different that I love, in Spring we have the beautiful Cherry Blossoms lining the white housed streets of South Ken, Notting Hill and Chelsea.  Summer is rife with delicious street food cuisine stands and lazy afternoons picnicking in Regents Park.  Burnished leaves line the pavements in Autumn and transform our streets with a golden glow, the spirit of Halloween can be seen with Instagrammable pumpkins, door wreathes and all number of spider paraphernalia.  Finally Winter, granted not my favourite season when it’s raining and miserably grey but on days like this when the sun is shining and there is a brisk feel to the air there’s nothing I love more than grabbing a Starbucks and having a wander around our beautiful city.

My Winter weekend style normally tends to involve trainers as we do often cover a lot of milage whilst roaming around.  These are almost always teamed with some jeans and although I’m lucky enough to have a job where I can wear what I like every day the idea that jeans are for the weekend stems back from my school days where I just couldn’t wait for the weekend to come so I could live in denim for 48 hours.  The jeans and trainers combo might arouse the idea that this is not a chic look, but this is where the power of a tailored coat comes into the mix.  This super chic Winter white coat has definitely had a run for it’s money this season, and it looks perfect with a light wash denim and camel accessories like this oversized scarf.
