The topic of today is ‘The Cape‘. It’s hard to wear a cape without secretly charging around your house singing ‘na na na na na na na na Batmaaaaaan’…regardless of your age, but hey, why fight it?! Any piece of clothing that adds some fun to your day is a winner with me. But the simple fact of the matter is that a cape is actually very chic and can be dressed down, as I’ve done here with a breton stripe tee, ripped boyfriend jeans and some fringed boots. Or you can dress it up ala DKNY here with some tailored trousers and a sheer blouse (Thanks NAP for that Inspo!). When the weather starts to get, well, bloody freezing, a cape isn’t always the most practical piece of outerwear (having no arms!) so if you fancy unleashing your inner caped crusader then you might want to test the water with this Missguided cape (as I’m wearing) which is only £35! If your budget allows a little bit more, I love this eyelet detail, longer line cape from ASOS. Wear a chunky knit underneath for winter and you’re set!
