Bicester Village with Karen Millen

At the beginning of this week myself and Claire were invited for a girly day out with Karen Millen at Bicester Village.  They have an amazing store there with some fantastic bargains to be had so we were literally chomping at the bit to get in there and get shopping.  Currently being in the Winter season they had a wide selection of coats, and if there’s one thing I absolutely love about Karen Millen, it’s their outerwear.  As I started to browse the rails I swiftly spotted this genuine sheepskin aviator jacket and then before I knew it I had accumulated quite a pile of garments hanging off my arms.  They were whisked off to a rather spacious fitting room on the first floor whilst I continued to browse and fill up my next ‘load’.  Claire and I were fitting room neighbours so naturally there was a lot of girl squealing, giggling and snap chatting (obvs!) whilst we proceeded to work our way through our rails of options.  Finally I decided the sheepskin jacket 100% needed to come home with me and I also picked out an incredible monochrome faux fur stole and a black shirt (yes, I love shirts!) with some detailing on the shoulders.  Content with our final choices we were in great need of some lunch, shopping can really take it out of you, it’s like a mini workout!  We headed off to The Farmshop where I literally ate so much I fell into a food coma immediately afterwards.  If you follow me on Snapchat you’ll have seen that giant burger and rather impressive apple pie I inhaled, mmmmm so good!  See how I styled my three pieces throughout the week below.

Check out what Claire picked up in her post here.

I would definitely recommend a trip to this store so here’s the address and contact deets just in case you’d like to give them a buzz to find out if they have something in particular in stock!

THE WARDROBE MUST-HAVE
This season in particular the Aviator jacket is the must-have outerwear piece!  As I said above, Karen Millen really do make amazing coats and jackets and to bag a genuine sheepskin aviator with a discount is just #winning!  Look at that funnel neck!  It’s so cosy and perfect for creating that ‘hair-tuck’ look.  I’ve styled mine with a chunky grey knit, ripped skinny jeans and a killer pair of ankle boots.

THE ACCESSORY
I’m currently having a slight love affair with faux fur scarves right now so when I spotted this in the Karen Millen store I literally grabbed it and retreated to the fitting room immediately.  You all know monochrome is totally my thing so this scarf really fits in with my existing wardrobe.  I decided to team it with an all black look to really make it stand out as the centrepiece.  I’ve draped it over one shoulder and belted at the waist to keep it in place.

THE EVENING PIECE
I’ve never really been one for wearing a dress so my take on an evening look is a pair of skinny jeans, a sleek shirt and a tailored blazer.  This shirt has some beaded detailing on the shoulders so it’s perfect as an evening piece.  But for those of you who do love dresses, there were plenty of beautiful designs at the Karen Millen store, Claire even picked up a gorgeous maxi dress (See how she styled that here).
