There’s always been something about a striped shirt that draws me in. They embody the preppy chic vibes of an all American college campus, but in my case, minus the Ralph Lauren price tag. Today’s choice of stripes is teamed with a camel blazer (last seen here) and my current favourite straight leg jeans (no surprise there!).
I have to touch on this new micro-trend which is emerging into our midst quite rapidly; The White Boot. Over the last couple of months, Fashion month in particular, the white boot has been rife on street stylers and influencers alike. There’s a nod to the 60’s go-go boots here but we’re putting a more modern twist on this trend. Ankle boot superstar Acne have gone for a sleek and minimal monochrome style whereas Isabel Marant, in keeping with their bohemian roots have styled a block wooden heel with soft cream leather. Of course it wouldn’t be a full blown trend if our high street faves didn’t follow suit; Topshop, Public Desire (as seen in today’s look), Zara, Kurt Geiger and Mango have all created their own versions and I have to say, I’m totally down with this trend.
