Next Level Obsession

I’m taking my obsession with Culottes to the next level, yes, we’re going leather people! We first saw leather culottes back in February during Fashion month. The likes of Whistles, Yang Li, Chloe and Paul & Joe all incorporated these man-repelling trousers (or shorts depending on how you look at them!) into their AW14 collections. Obviously anything we see on the runway is inevitably going to end up in Zara at a fraction of the price. As much as I’ve been lusting over the Whistles version for about a good month now, I just couldn’t stretch to the £395 price tag. So I popped into Zara and guiltily purchased these ones (at £39.99, it’d be rude not to). Now with this high street price does come a few compromises, they are pleather, not leather and the fit is not as wide legged as their designer competitors, they are more of a long basketball short. Adding to sports luxe look they also have an elasticated waist with drawstring detail, but that’s not so say they can’t be dressed up. Looking for some inspiration, just check out Pinterest here!
