NAILS: Favourite Spring Shades

I thought I’d just do a post on my favourite nail colours for Spring as I have so many but there are five shades in particular that are gorgeous for this time of year.  So read on to see what made it onto my faves list and check out my colour swatches below.
First up there’s a Rimmel 60 Seconds polish in ‘Round and Round the Garden’ which is a gorgeous pale jade colour.  I love Rimmel polishes, hence why there’s two from the same range in this post, because they’re just so easy to use, the brush is by the far the best for a home manicure, the drying time is 60 seconds (obvs) and the colours (plenty of choice there!) are really lovely.  The second Rimmel colour is a cornflower blue called ‘Mind the Gap, Victoria’ and I featured this in a few outfits posts about a month ago and you all said you loved the colour.  It fast became one of my firm favourites!  Then I have a Chanel Le Vernis polish in ‘Mimosa’ which was the highly coveted colour of SS11.  It’s a bold yellow with a slight pearlescent finish.  The polish itself isn’t great, sorry Chanel but it has to be said.  It takes three coats to get this colour looking even as it’s very watery and it takes forever to dry, but nonetheless, they created the best yellow polish I’ve ever seen!  On to Nails Inc, this peach shade titled ‘Wellington Square’ is just scrumptious!  I was sent this polish from QVC last year and I misplaced it, it’s only this week that I found it hiding in amongst some make up products and I rediscovered my love for it.  Lastly we have a Cheeky polish.  Cheeky is the naughty little sister to Cowshed and the quality of the polish is incredible for it’s £7 price tag, that said they specialise in manicures so the polishes have been developed by peeps that know what they’re doing.  This shade ‘Crush on You’ is the perfect candy pink for this season.  I’ve been wearing it on my toes for the last month and I even sported it on my nails for day 1 of London Fashion Week.  Cheeky polishes give great coverage and a high glossy finish.
