Liz Earle Strengthening Nail Colour

Today I’ve been trying out some Liz Earle products that I’ve been sent.  Last Week I went to a Liz Earle beauty event at their store on Duke of York Square in Chelsea and I got to explore their products a bit more.  The beauty side of blogging is pretty new to me and it’s only really been since LFW that I have decided to start doing beauty posts too.  As I’m a full time blogger I figure I may as well!  So I hope you enjoy them and perhaps find them useful 🙂
The first product that I’ve been testing is the Strengthening Nail Colour (£7.50 per 12ml bottle).  I currently have 4 of the 12 colours available; ‘Grey Dawn’, ‘Grace’, ‘Pink Perpetue’ and ‘Rhapsody in Blue’.  I’ve done some nail swatches below so you can see the true colours once on the nails.  In terms of easy of application, I’d definitely not fault this product.  The brush is just the right size and the consistency of the polish is perfect for the 3 stroke coverage when applying.  I used 2 coats on each colour apart from ‘Grace’ (the very pale nude colour) where I actually applied 3 coats just to get it completely opaque, but I find with all nude colours you really do need about 3 coats anyway.  The polishes on their own are very glossy (more than average) although I would always add a top coat of Seche Vite just for added shine and durability.  Drying time was pretty quick but with it not being a specifically designed ‘fast dry’ product is will be longer than some other polishes with that feature.  The colours from the range are detailed in the image below, and my personal favourite ‘Grey Dawn’ will be a frequent fixture on my nails for AW13!  I also love the look of the deep red/brown colours which would be perfect for Autumn; ‘Knockout’, ‘Moment In Time’, ‘Pure Poetry’ and ‘Old Velvet’…..lush!

Liz Earle Strengthening Nail Colours are available to buy online, in Liz Earle Stores, selected counters at John Lewis and Boots and QVC.
