Laura Geller Spackle Supercharged Primer

I received this Laura Geller Primer in a QVC press day goodie bag a few months back.  It’s pretty different to most other primers on the market at the moment because it has a stainless steel roller applicator on the end, which granted does provide a rather refreshing cooling effect first thing in the morning but in all honesty I prefer to use my finger tips to massage it in, it’s just quicker and easier.  Priced at £24 it’s not the cheapest of products but you do get a generous 59ml for your buck.  It’s infused with soothing botanicals and age-fighting antioxidants including White Tea extracts and Aloe and upon application my skin did feel pretty fresh, there was almost a slight tingle to it, but in a good way.  I think everyone looks for different things in their primers, I like a smooth complexion and a velvety finish and although I didn’t quite get the velvet soft finish I was after it did give a fresh glow to my skin.  When I applied my foundation over the top, it did glide on a lot smoother than without a primer and the staying power throughout the day was ten times better, not to mention that this product doesn’t feel heavy or cakey when you apply foundation on top.  This primer doesn’t sit on the the skin like the silicone based primers but absorbs into the skin, working it’s magic as the day goes on.  This Primer is great if you want a radiant glow and dewy finish to your make up, which could be the perfect option for your Spring/Summer make up routine.  I didn’t really find that it minimized pores and left a velvet finish but the compromise on that are the do-good ingredients that nourish the skin throughout the day leaving you with a more natural (less airbrushed) dewy look.
