Today we’re talking all things cropped! This is the season for the cropped trouser and Topshop have nailed this trend with these black ponte kick flares from their AW15 collection, I mean really…they are pretty awesome! We saw plenty of cropped kick flares on the runways at fashion weeks back in February and they were teamed with cropped jackets and layered knits. Being the trend slave that I am, I created my own Topshop version of this look with this cropped camel jacket and this neutral oversized knit with side split details.
Topshop is always my number one stop for getting those trend-driven pieces, and the rate in which they get new stock is perfect for me as I like to constantly refresh my wardrobe week after week.
The different lengths of each piece give some depth to the look but just to add some sex appeal I added in these beautiful black snakeskin pumps. Ankle boots (like these) would work for a more casual, everyday look but you all know me…I’m a sucker for those pointed toe courts!
A simple black shoulder bag and pair of ‘I’m so important’ cat eye sunnies finish off the look. The cropped kick flare is fast becoming my trouser of choice so stay tuned to see how I style these over the coming season.
