Just Go With It

EJSTYLE - Emma Hill wears Acne Studios printed denim tote bag, white summer top with cut out embroidered detail, mASOS thea girlfriend jeans, Dune Keera wedge sandals, Asos aviator sunglasses, OOTD

Currently bundled up in a million layers and destroying Rainforrests the world over via my extreme Kleenex usage, I am, with cold.  As this task of uploading my holiday looks is rather depressing in my snotty state I’ve gone with a look today which which can easily be worn in less tropical climates, aka, normal life.  Yes I guess this look could be a tad ‘mum on the school run’ which is why I refrained from doning a sweater draped over my shoulders but you know what, I’m embracing it.  Recently I’ve come to terms with the fact that my style can’t really be put into one box.  Season by season my taste changes, I experiment, I don’t so much ‘evolve’ as just ‘go with it’.  The main thing for me is feeling confident in a look.  If I feel even so much as an ounce of doubt about a look, off it comes, or perhaps I’ll tweak it until I feel 100%.  It’s not through fear of what others will think, I dress for me, no one else, but if you don’t have confidence I think it really affects how your day will pan out, and I want my day to be an awesome one.
The look I’ve put together might not be your cup of tea but as always you can take elements and mix them with your own personal style.  This top for example, it’s actually a dress but as I’m 5ft9 (mainly legs) it came up a little too arse-skimming for me so I had had to adapt it as a top, layering it over my favourite jeans.  It comes from one of my online faves Romwe and I don’t think I’ve ever shed some words of advise on sizing if you’re buying from them or any of the other China based sites (Sheinside, Choies, Chicwish, OASAP etc) but I’m going to now…buy big!  Each item on the sites comes with measurements, I suggest you use them as a guide because in some items I’ve purchased, I’m a size Large!  In summer this look could work equally as well with a pair of shorts, or even cinch in the waistline of this rather floaty number with a belt.  The denim bag is also from Romwe, yes totally ripping off Acne by using their well known Studios logo but you know what, it was about £8 and works as a great beach bag, book bag, something to carry your shopping in, whatever…I love it.
