Introducing the LWD

Call it what you will; the 'Little White Dress' or 'The Long White Dress' either way it's a Summer must-have.

Nothing looks better with a tan than white, and I'm guilty as charged when it comes to filling my Summer wardrobe with as much white (or variations of) as possible just to show off that bronzed skin.  Regardless of if you are off for some Summer sun or not, the LWD is definitely one to have in your wardrobe.

I'm wearing a cheesecloth off-white dress from Mango (in natural light it looks more white than cream as displayed on the Mango website) which I picked up on a last minute dash of Oxford Street before we went to Kos.  I didn't even try it on, I just spotted it hanging up and whisked it off to the cash desk.  Although I have to admit this was one occasion where my 'shopping eye' pulled through for me.  The dress fits on the large side and by no means is it supposed to be fitted, but if like me you wanted a slightly tighter fit, then size down.  As you can see from the images I also had the tie mine at the back because my lack of boobs unfortunately didn't help matters in the fit department.  But all in all this was a great dress for wandering around in the heat, the lightweight cheesecloth fabric makes it breathable and airy whilst the crochet detail and pom pom tassels give it that vacay vibe.

If you're in the market for a LWD then I've picked out my faves below, whatever the location, whether it be Ubud or Upminster there's something there for everyone:
