If you’ve ever been to LA then I’m sure you’ll have noticed their oh so effortlessly cool interior style. There are a few elements I find synonymous with LA interiors but by far my favourite and the easiest to replicate in your own home is their love of bringing the outside in. Greenery is key when dressing a room, and what’s more is that this type of greenery is totally Emma-proof, and by that I mean they require minimal care/watering, a bonus as I have a habit of murdering innocent plants. Succulents, cacti, palms and of course Banana plants are all amongst the greens you should be looking for and they are all readily available in this country. Ikea is great for cacti and succulents and for everything else there are some great online stores along with trying B&Q, Homebase and your local Garden Centres. The greenery doesn’t stop there, not content with having the actual plants themselves cool LA folk swoon over leaf printed wallpaper, cushions and other such soft furnishings. Again this is a trend which luckily for us has made it’s way across the pond and below you’ll see a whole range of home accessories to transform your pad into a cool LA hangout.
