Finally summer has arrived!!! Sunday’s 26 degree heat had me very excited and as you may have seen on Snapchat I spent the day lounging on my glorious new day bed in the garden, relaxing and topping up on my tan. Thankfully the weekend weather continued and I started off my week yesterday in this rather floaty & feminine summer outfit. I’ve always been drawn to boho chic and this chiffon printed top (which I bought in a size 12 so it would be ultra loose fitting) certainly fits the bill, I mean, just look at those sleeves. It’s pretty sheer but I didn’t feel the need to wear a vest underneath, just a nude coloured bra, and quite frankly when it’s hot in London the last thing I want to be doing is adding an additional layer. I teamed this feminine top with some ripped white denim shorts (run true to size) just to keep the look casual and not too ‘pretty’. I kept accessories to a minimum and just added a few rose gold rings and my khaki Chloe Faye bag. Now footwear in London when its hot has always been a tricky one for me. Each Summer season I just fail to get it right, shoes which appeared comfortable when I first set out are agonising after an hour when my feet have swollen due to the heat. However I gave these Isabel Marant tan sandals (run half a size large) a test run in Morocco and they proved to be a winner so I gave them a whirl and you know what? I think I may have got it right this season…*skips off to buy them in every colour*
In other news I’m off to the Glamour Awards tonight so do follow along on Snapchat as that’s where I will be documenting the event x
