I’m back with another Spring outfit idea…
Spring can often be a tricky season to dress for due to the ever fluctuating temperatures so my go-to look often tends to be something long sleeved which I can roll up if needs be and a pair of jeans or trousers. Today’s look has a more feminine twist as I’m whipping out the Broderie Anglais. It’s not just for hankies it’s for blouses too and there is just something so pretty about this fabric technique which I have come to love over the last few years.
This cutesy broderie anglais blouse has been hanging in my wardrobe for a good couple of months and finally it was warm enough to wear it last week. Sadly the weather has taken a chilly turn so it’s back in it’s designated spot in my wardrobe amongst my other Spring/Summer tops but at least it’s had it’s first outing. To avoid the outfit looking too ‘twee’ I paired the blouse with my Paige high waisted jeans and added some bold colour with these red wedge espadrilles. Because it’s currently surgically attached to me the Zara basket bag makes yet another appearance. Guys, on a serious note here, if you haven’t got your hands on this bag yet you really need to get your ass into gear because it’s £20. I’ve worn mine so much already that the price per wear equates to nothing, so basically the bag was free 😉
