Over the weekend I was sent some beauty goodies from Collection and one of the items was this Primed & Ready Primer. I’ve tried my fair share of primers over the years and this actually measures up pretty well. I often find with primers they can either be too thick and this can then end up mixing with your foundation and can create some kind of sticky paste on the skin, or it can be more of a moisturiser and can just absorb into the skin with no effect what so ever in terms of a flawless base. This one leaves the skin with a soft velvet finish and minimises pores so that your foundation looks flawless. I found that a little goes a long way, so I only needed a small pea sized amount for the whole face so don’t be put off by the small size of the tube. The texture and consistency of this primer is similar to a lightweight gel and is so easy to apply and blend in (I used my fingertips and massaged over the face with light circular motions). Once the primer was dry I applied my foundation and it gave such a flawless finish! It didn’t feel heavy or sticky and my make up wore very well throughout the day. If you didn’t want to use it on your whole face then you can just use it on problem areas, for me my pores are slightly bigger around my nose. I’ve also used it as a base for creating smokey eyes and works just as well as an eye primer which is always a bonus! This primer retails at £5.99 (18ml) and if you’re looking for an inexpensive one to try out the I would certainly recommend giving this one a go!
