Yesterday I mentioned being sent a package from Collection and the next products I tested were these eye palettes (£3.99 each). I was sent two different colour ways but there are four in this particular range, so I’m sure anyone would be able to find one (or more) that suits them. I have the Smokey Eye Palette and the Purple Eye Palette. I think at some point everyone does a smokey eye so these are actually useful little kits to have, and there are instructions on the back to guide you through how to create the look. I’ve done my own little step by step below as I followed the instructions and I’m no make-up artist but I found it pretty easy to do. I did however use my own brushes (Real Techniques) because I’m not a fan or the spongy eye shadow applicators that come with these palettes. In each palette there are three lighter shades, two medium shades, three darker shades and a creamy highlighter. The eye shadows themselves aren’t bad for the budget price but they do require a lot of blending and layering to get the pigmented colour and it did start to wear off throughout the day and needed a slight touch up/re-blend. However £3.99 is a great price for a useful palette like this and I found that upon trying them out a second time, using the Collection ‘Primed & Ready’ Primer before application, it did help the wear-ability of the shadow throughout the day. You could also try the Collection ‘Fix Me Up’ fixing spray which will also help fix your eye make up in place, great for a night out! If you’re trying more than one palette then you could also mix and match the colours from different palettes to create so many different looks.
