After the success of my 'Colour Crushing on Khaki' post last week I received an influx of requests to feature more looks with trainers. I do wear heels most of the time but I am only human and yes I do wear trainers and flats when I have a busy day and lots of walking/running around to do. So I'm going to make it a weekly feature where I post at least one outfit with a pair of trainers and I'm calling this 'The Sneaker Diaries'.
In today's look I have stuck to my styling rule which I discussed in last weeks post; when wearing trainers add at least one piece of tailoring to the outfit to avoid looking too casual or 'slobbish'. Well as I was out in London with my Mum for the day I wanted to look chic so I actually added two tailored pieces. This double breasted military jacket was from Zara about 2 years ago (I have linked some alternatives below) and I found it when I was detoxing my wardrobe (post to come at the end of the week). I've layered it over this chunky black cable knit and teamed with my second tailored piece, these tapered leg trousers. I often find that each pair of trainers has it's own collection of outfits. This outfit is very suited to just a simple pair of plain white lace ups or Stan Smiths if you're a bit of a trainer snob 😉 Not all trainers work with all outfits so if you have a specific pair you'd like me to style an outfit for then let me know in the comments below 😘
