At the tail end of last year Boohoo invited me along to the filming of their new TV ad which aired yesterday (watch below if you’ve not seen it on the telly yet). The whole aim of this latest ad is to showcase their new collections; Tall, Petite and Plus. Being 5ft 9 I sit or should I say stand rather comfortably in the ‘Tall’ demographic and I often struggle to find jeans and trousers to fit my leg length. So it pleases me greatly to hear that one of my online faves now stock a whole range of key pieces to fit these gangly sticks I call my legs.
Today’s outfit is styled with new pieces from the Tall range and I can confirm that the jeans are perfect for long legs! I have a 34.5″ inseam and I even had to roll these skinnies up at the bottom so if you’re legs are even longer than mine, I think I’ve just found you your new saviour! At this time of year the focus is on transitional dressing so here are my top tips for transitioning between the seasons:
Ditch the Coat!
Swap the coat for a jacket (or Blazer). As it’s still a bit nippy I tend to favour a leather biker jacket and layer up underneath as I have done here with this polo neck and check shirt.
Bring back the rips!
With the exception of this Winter (mild, mild, mild!) I normally tend to abandon my ripped jeans in favour of full coverage! But with the changing of the seasons its time to bring back those rips.
Stripes are the perfect transitional trend, who doesn’t love a Breton stripe?! Wear a striped long sleeve basic or polo neck jumper with mid-light wash denim and layer with a pale colour jacket/coat (Camel wins!).
Now can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing the latest Boohoo TV ad song is?! It’s actually been stuck in my head since I attended the filming…’where do we go from here, tell meeeee’. Lion Babe were totally new to me (not being an avid music fan n’all) but the song fits the brand and suits this transitional time of year, not to mention the fact that Jillian’s hair is simply crazy hot…a Lions Mane for this Lion Babe!
